This very attractive acid etched and enamelled Daum Nancy salt dish has the classic daisy design highlighted with gilding.
What makes this lovely Daum salt dish especially important is the very rare acid green colour of the ground glass that shades to clear from the top of the dish in the internal layer.
It is rare to see this technique used by Daum.

A RARE ART DECO DAUM NANCY “LANDSCAPE” CAMEO GLASS VASE
A rare monumental DAUM Art Deco cameo glass landscape vase of classic form.
The body of the glass is formed of clear glass internally flecked in yellow, orange and red and given a satin finish to form the sky of the landscape.
The tree landscape design is acid etched into green and purple cameo glass layers over this satin ground, that are left unpolished.
This deco vase is unusual because the design references the earlier classic DAUMdesigns of the 19th Century.

A CHARMING AND BEAUTIFUL MINIATURE DAUM VASE, ACID ETCHED AND ENAMELLED AND MOUNTED ON A SILVER GILT FOOT
This is one of the most intricate and delicate Daum vases that we have ever seen.
This stunning little classic DAUM vase is formed of green inter-colour glass shading to dappled burgundy with a pale blue opal interior.
The vessel has then been intricately acid etched with the finest grasses, ferns and delicate flowers some of which are picked out in polychrome enamels, others are highlighted with gilding and some are highly polished to use the colour of the underlying glass. There is further gilding to the background at the base to enhance the design and the rim is finished with dappled gilding.
The beautiful glass vase is mounted on an equally intricate silver gilt foot.

A VERY RARE DAUM ORGANIC BOWL WITH THE "SUMMER WOODLAND" LANDSCAPE DESIGN
This very attractive acid etched and enamelled Daum bowl has a landscape design of woodland trees in summer dappled light created by inter-colour flecked and stretched variegated green glass.
It is a rare presentation of the Daum summer woodland design with the acid etched design covering the outside of the bowl with details in opaque and transparent enamels.
The bowl is especially beautiful and dramatic as the design is also visible from the inside of the bowl which presents a totally different interpretation of the design that is not possible to see in the more normal vase presentations.
In addition to this wonderfully effective display of the design, the bowl is a very naturalistic organic shape.

A STUNNING PRESENTATION OF THE VERY RARE DAUM ACID ETCHED AND ENAMELLED "TREES IN WIND AND RAIN" DESIGN
This stunning Daum dish displays the exceedingly rare design of "Trees in Wind and Rain", more commonly abbreviated to just the "Rain" design.
The very thick clear body of the high sided small dish has internal suffusions of pink and green giving the sunset element to the windy day of the design.
The acid etched trees are enamelled in transparent and opaque monotones while the grass and trees in the distance are in monotone grisaille enamel.
The acid etched rain is left as polished clear glass to give the sparkle of rain drops.
The heavy dish is of further interest as the back is entirely polished allowing a reverse image of the design.

A STUNNING AND VERY RARE DAUM GOBLET WITH FIRE POLISHED CAMEO GLASS AND A MARTELÉ GROUND
A truly stunning and very rare DAUM goblet formed from a heavy clear ground and overlaid with two shades of rich dark burgundy cameo glass.
The Daum design of grapes with vine leaves and tendrils is acid etched twice in two layers of different shades of rich dark burgundy coloured cameo glass on the heavy clear ground.
The clear glass background has a hand cut martelé texture and the whole vessel has then been given a fire polished finish.
This is a very rare and unusual DAUM cameo glass goblet.

A STUNNINGLY CHARMING AND RARE SMALL DAUM JUG WITH NATURALISTIC CORNFLOWER DESIGN
We have never seen this beautiful Daum naturalistic cornflower design before.
The charming small jug has a full flower on one side and a bud with leaves on the reverse.
This very rare design is a flattened Daum jug created in blown clear glass with subtle inter-colour shading of pink through orange to suffused yellow with an applied clear glass handle.
The stunning design is acid etched in relief from a matt textured background with the cornflower beautifully detailed in polychrome enamels and gilt with a gilded rim and brushed gilding to the handle and foot of the jug.
This is a truly exceptional Daum creation.

AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE DAUM BIRCH TREE LANDSCAPE VASE WITH TWO DESIGNS FORMED IN MULTICOLOUR VITRIFIED CAMEO GLASS
This exceedingly rare DAUM cabinet vase is acid etched with TWO DESIGNS of birch trees in a multicolour vitrified layer of cameo glass detailed with transparent polychrome enamels.
The body of this unique vase has the acid etched design executed on a multicolour vitrified cameo glass layer over a clear body with an 'inter colour' layer of pale brown suffusing to dappled blue.
The unique feature of this Daum landscape design is that on two sides the silver birches are in fine detail with a landscape of monochrome trees on the horizon, while on the other two faces the birch trees are silvery in a misty landscape.
This is the first time we have seen a DAUM landscape vase with the same design portrayed in two different seasons.

TWO EXCEEDINGLY RARE DAUM ACID ETCHED AND ENAMELLED MINIATURE VASES WITH WHITE CAMEO GLASS OVERLAY AND THE "WINTER VILLAGE WITH PALE BLUE SKY" DESIGN
These exceedingly rare DAUM miniature vases are created with white cameo glass and a fine acid etched and enamelled design of the Winter Village and Windmill by an Ice Pond with the rare feature of a pale blue sunset sky.
The inter colour ground of flecked pale blue glass has a suffused hint of orange winter sunset with the snow formed from a white cameo glass layer. Normally the sky is a grey white on this DAUM Winter Village design but these examples have a subtle blue sky.
The winter design continues around each vase with a village and church nestling in trees and windmills by an ice pond, all finely detailed with acid etching and polychrome enamels.

AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE MINIATURE HAND CARVED CAMEO GLASS LANDSCAPE VASE BY DAUM
This is possibly a unique DAUM hand carved cameo glass miniature vase, certainly we have never seen one before.
The body of this Daum miniature vase is formed of thick clear glass with a pale opalescent interior and two layers of cameo glass overlays, one in orange/amber, the other in green giving a dark brown almost black overlay on top of the amber glass.
The cameo layers have then been completely hand wheel carved to produce a subtle landscape of trees against a cloudy sky, the colours imitating a sunset.
This is an exceedingly rare and possibly unique Daum miniature vase using a technique normally reserved for only large vases.

The body of the goblet is formed of clear glass with a pink interior that transforms to shades of green in certain lights.
The river landscape is acid etched on one side and detailed with monochrome enamel with gilding to the rim and foot.

This charming DAUM miniature vase with a cornflower design is a classic early production from the Daum factory.
The intercolour ground of cream and dark brown has been acid etched with the delightful cornflower design which has then been detailed with polychrome and gilt enamels.
Further gilding enhances the mat background at the base to highlight the design of the leaves.
The Daum miniature beaker vase or shot glass is a traditional form for acid etched and enamelled Daum miniatures.

The beaker or artist's brush pot is one of the rarer DAUM forms.
This pot displays the an exceedingly rare 'Summer Woodland Landscape" design created with polychrome enamel painting over an acid etched dapple blue ground giving a stunning rendition of a MONET style landscape.
This is the first time that we have seen this very rare Daum landscape design and to find it on a Daum Artist's brush pot results in a stunning creation.

A STUNNING AND EXCEEDINGLY RARE DAUM "AUTUMN RIVER BANK" LANDSCAPE CAMEO GLASS AND ENAMELLED BOWL
This beautiful Daum "Autumn River Bank" landscape bowl has been produced by the very rare DAUM technique of vitrified cameo glass acid etched and enamelled in polychrome colours.
The glass vessel is first hand blown in clear glass with an inter-colour layer of dappled pale blue and lime green glass that has been crimped at the rim with four indentations.
The vessel has been rolled in multicolour orange, yellow and green crushed glass and then reheated to create a vitrified cameo glass layer.
The Autumn landscape design has been acid etched into the cameo layer and then the detail of the design is enamelled in polychrome colours.
Vitrified cameo glass is a rare Daum technique that is usually found on later pieces, but the Autumn River Bank design is probably when it was first experimented with and very few examples were produced.

A CHARMING ORGANIC FORM DAUM VASE ACID ETCHED AND ENAMELLED WITH WILD POPPY FLOWERS
This fine DAUM cabinet vase is of a superb organic globe form with hot pinched trefoil rim.
The vase displays a delightful Daum design of acid etched wild poppy flowers detailed with transparent polychrome enamels on a ground of internally dappled orange and yellow glass.
The design is further enhanced with acid etched ferns to the base that are un-enamelled but accentuated by gilding to the background.
These clear ferns produce an interesting projection when the vase is internally lit.
