Internal acid cutting of the inner layer of glass has produced pure colours in the flower heads while the blue glass on the yellow ground gives green to the leaves.
The background has a satin finish while the cameo layers are hand polished.

A CLASSICAL FOOTED GALLE CAMEO GLASS VASE WITH CUT BACK CRIMSON HIBISCUS FLOWERS
One of the most popular GALLE designs in his commercial glass range is the Classical footed vase with floral decoration that can be found in a vast variety of sizes. This vase is a charming cabinet vase of lovely proportions with a flaring lip.
The delightful vase has a a pale yellow/opal ground body overlaid in layers of burgundy and pink cameo glass.
These two cameo glass layers have each received two acid etched cuttings to give the form and details of the abundant Hibiscus design while the internal yellow/opal ground has also been acid cut back to reveal the pure pinks of the flowers.
The surfaces of the cameo layers have been hand polished while the background ground has received a subtle matt satin finish.

This delightful Galle creation in the form of a low tube cabinet vase has a deep yellow and clear ground body overlaid in a layer of crimson cameo glass.
This cameo glass layer has received two acid etched cuttings to give the form and details of the red current design.
The cameo layer has then been hand polished to accentuate the design against the satin matt ground.

TWO EXCEEDINGLY RARE MUSEUM QUALITY EARLY GALLE MINIATURE ENAMELLED LIQUEUR GLASSES ON SILVER GILT MOUNTS
Two exceedingly fine and rare GALLE acid etched enamelled and gilded miniature liqueur glasses (or egg cups) on silver gilt mounts.
These are exceptional quality, early GALLE enamelled drinking glasses, formed from a rich lime green glass that is profusely acid etched and enamelled and gilded in fine detail with flowering daisies. The stems and leaves are highlighted with gilding and there is further gilding brushed to the rims of the glasses.
The green ground has an acid textured background with polished rims.

Signatures: Glass: Each glass has a different signature that is finely acid etched and delicately gilded with "Galle Nancy" and "Depose" to the sides within the leaves.

The GALLE tube 'seule fleur' cameo glass vase is one of Galle's classic forms that can be found from a miniature to monumental size.
This Galle tube vase is a charming cabinet size in delicate colour way.
The ground colour of the vase is satin frosted clear glass with a strong pink internal suffusion to the top and base.
The floral design is acid etched in two layers in the amber cameo glass overlay and hand polished to accentuate the details of the design.

A SUPERB THREE COLOUR OVERLAY GALLE CAMEO GLASS VASE WITH THE 'SYCAMORE TREE' DESIGN
A blown GALLE cameo glass vase with a rare pulled and hand cut organic rim above a superb design of Sycamore tree leaves and seed pods in three layers of cameo glass .
The clear glass ground is suffused at the base and the rim with a deep internal peach colour while the whole vase is overlaid with dark lime green, pale lime green and white cameo glass. The white cameo glass behind the lime greens produces an opaque finish to the design.
The two outer cameo glass layers are acid cut twice to give detail to the Sycamore tree design and the whole vase is finished with a matt satin surface.
The 'Galle' signature bears the mourning star signifying the death of Galle in September 1904.
This is the only signature that can be dated to a specific year period.

A very attractive mini vase with flattened bulbous shape displaying the rare GALLE 'Aquatic - pond with waterlilies' design in classic colours.
The pond with the design of the waterlilies and pond plants is formed in the two outer layers of amethyst and a thin blue cameo glass.
The clear body of the vase is internally suffused with opalised yellow forming the water of the pond shading to green.
Traces of the blue cameo layer depict the sky.
The amethyst cameo glass layer is double cut and hand polished while the background has a satin matt finish.

A STUNNING LARGE 'INTERNALLY CUT BACK' CAMEO GLASS VASE BY GALLE
A fine and rare example of a stunning GALLE cameo glass vase displaying the internal acid cut back technique used in each flower head.
The design is of abundant flowering daisy chrysanthemum blooms with leaves.
The clear body has an internal layer of strong opal yellow glass cut back with acid to reveal the pure pale blue cameo glass of each flower head beneath the purple cameo glass layer used to depict the leaves.
The upper sides of the leaves are depicted in blue cameo glass on the yellow ground producing a subtle green colour. It is rare to see these techniques used in such a precise manner.
The background has a tactile silk satin finish while the blue flowers are softly hand polished and the outer top cameo layer of purple glass is given a stronger hand polishing.

A VERY SUBTLE GALLE WISTERIA CAMEO GLASS DESIGN ON A CHARMING CABINET VASE
This is one of the most subtle renditions of the favourite GALLE Wisteria design popular in his commercial glass range.
The charming form of the cabinet vase has a clear ground body, frosted to give a subtle hue to the internal suffusion of pale blue glass.
The ever popular design of branches of Wisteria blossoms and leaves cascading from the top of the vase is worked in an outer layer of amethyst cameo glass.
A discreet Galle signature appears on the side of the vase in the cameo layer.
The cameo glass layer has received two acid etched cuttings to give the form and details of the design. The outer cameo glass layer is then finished with a polished surface contrasting with the satin matt ground.

An unusually large and dramatic Galle 'Pilgrim Flask' vase with a beautiful all-over cameo glass design of a grapevine.
The clear body of the vase internally suffused with two bands of burgundy glass. The outer amber layer of cameo glass is acid etched twice to produce the design of the grape vine while using the burgundy bands to dramatic effect.

A BEAUTIFUL TRIPLE COLOUR OVERLAY GALLE CAMEO GLASS FLORAL VASE
A blown GALLE cameo glass vase of classic form with a subtle floral design in three layers of cameo glass .
The clear glass ground is suffused at the base with pink and at the rim with a deep internal peach colour while the whole vase is overlaid with yellow and orange cameo glass with an underlay of opal-white cameo glass behind the flower heads. The pad of opal-white cameo glass behind the yellow and orange produces an opaque finish to the flowers in the design.
The three cameo glass layers are acid cut and intaglio cut to give detail to the design and the whole vase is finished with a matt satin surface and the merest hint of polishing to some of the detail.
The 'Galle' signature has a stylistic flourish.

A BEAUTIFUL GALLE CAMEO GLASS CLEMATIS VASE IN A VERY UNUSUAL COLOUR-WAY
This beautiful GALLE Clematis vase is formed from a most unusual cameo glass colour-way.
The clear ground body of the vase has a soft pink internal layer while the cameo design is executed in layers of blue and magenta, crisply acid etched three times to give the details of Clematis flower, vines buds and leaves. Thin traces of the pale blue layer further enhance the ground colour.
The whole vase is finished with a soft satin matt surface with hand polishing to the details of the Clematis design in the cameo layers.
At a time when most of Galle's production was in the classic Art Nouveau earth colours this is a very rare excursion into a beautiful subtle colour-way.

A UNIQUE GALLE 'MOON' VASE WITH AN UNUSUAL AQUATIC DESIGN IN A VERY RARE COLOUR-WAY
An exceedingly rare Galle vase of unique form displaying a rare version of the Aquatic design in an unseen colour-way.
The ground body is a thick frosted clear glass internally suffused with a thin layer of lemon yellow. The vase has a triple overlay of cameo glass in yellow , orange and amber which is cleanly acid etched with no less than five cuttings to suggest the water lilies and grasses on a pond. The outer layers of the cameo glass have been hand polished to enhance the details of the design.
The rare Galle "MOON" form is a more complete circle than the normal canoe shaped vase.

This is a stunning and very rare Galle Lidded Pot or Box with the beautiful ornate Convolvulus design entwined around the box and lid.
The clear body of both the lid and the box is internally suffused with dappled blue and green shading through to red at the top. The outer rich blue layer of cameo glass has been acid etched twice to produce the intricate GALLE design of Convolvulus flowers and intertwined tendrils and leaves. There is also some intaglio carving of leaves.
